Le français

and Madame Lytle

Je m'appelle Madame Anne Lytle, et

j'adore le français!

I began my journey with French in elementary school in a part of New England where French was included in the curriculum with French-Canadian teachers. I went on to major in French Literature at Smith College and spent my junior year abroad in Paris, studying at la Sorbonne

Immediately after college, I began teaching high-school French as full faculty at a boarding school in Connecticut, and I earned a Masters in French from Middlebury College during that time. (J'adore le Vermont!)

Through some moves with my family, I continued teaching high-school French and discovered that I am also passionate about teaching middle school! I have taught French at several independent schools around Philadelphia and in New England and worked closely with families as an advisor and coach.

Speaking of families, I love being with my famille, enjoying sports, spending time outdoors, watching French cinéma, reading, and gardening. As a tutor, I very much enjoy working one on one with French learners to help them improve their language comprehension skills as well as develop confidence in their abilities with le français! I have traveled extensively with my family and students to Europe and francophone North Africa, and would be happy to share my stories with you!
